The Mechanical Contractors Association of Georgia (MCAG) serves as a national organization dedicated to enhancing the mechanical industries through the largest segment of mechanical construction work. As the recognized voice for prominent mechanical contractors, MCAG enables its members to advocate for their interests on local, state, and national levels. Members have the opportunity to connect with others who share similar interests, allowing for the exchange of challenges and solutions within the industry.
MCAG actively represents mechanical contractors in negotiations with the United Association to address union-management issues, whether at a local or national scale. The association safeguards its members' interests, influencing the outcomes of legislative proposals and government directives relevant to the mechanical contractors' sector.
In addition, MCAG collaborates with other construction industry groups to protect the interests of mechanical contractors. Partnering with organizations such as the MICETF and the Georgia-Florida Chapter 23 NCPWB, MCAG provides opportunities for mechanical industries education and hosts educational seminars nationwide, ensuring members stay updated on the latest management practices and welding certification programs. This includes locally scheduled workshops aimed at skills improvement.
To keep its members informed, MCAG disseminates current information on industry activities and government developments that impact mechanical contractors on both state and national levels. The association also offers members collaborative ways to address specific industry challenges through the joint efforts of colleagues.
As the local affiliate of the MCAA, MCAG provides technical services aimed at enhancing its members' businesses through its Pipe Welding, Plumbing, Service, and Maintenance Divisions.
The Mechanical Industries Council's mission is to protect, promote, foster and advance the interests of mechanical contracting and servicing industry employers and employees. They engage in public relations programs, establish national certified pipe welding bureaus, and promote buying practices. Additionally, they aim to improve economic standards, ensure quality production, and prioritize public safety, health and welfare.

The National Certified Pipe Welding Bureau (NCPWB) helps contractors stay at the forefront of welding and brazing technology by providing qualified procedures and continuing education. NCPWB Chapters offers compliance information, technical support, and resources that save contractors time and money. The purpose of the NCPWB is to reduce risk, ensure the highest standards of safety, and maintain Welder's Certification records.
